Battery Life on Android 5.0 Lolliipop: Benchmarks show Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, Nexus 5, LG G3 Results

The phones were subjected to four tests per: standby, talk time, web browsing and video playback. The results were compared with the benchmark results at the same phone running Android KitKat.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 showed the best results. In all but the web browsing test, Samsung's flagship device showed significant improvements on Android Lollipop than when it was on Android KiKat. In standby mode, the Galaxy S5 received a total of 11 hours, while the HTC One M8 saw a six-hour boost from 71 hours to 77 hours on Android KitKat Android Lollipop. The LG G3, on the other hand, slipped six hours to 63 hours, while the Nexus 5, but are only two hours had the poorest 38 hours standby time.
Nexus 5 again lost another six hours of talk time, and so is the HTC One M8. While the LG G3 saw a slight decrease of 25 hours, 54 minutes to 25 hours, 38 minutes, the Galaxy S5 again showed an impressive improvement in six hours in talk time up to 27 hours, 37 minutes.
In terms of web browsing, but the HTC One M8 showed significant improvement, such as browsing time for the Taiwanese smartphone leap of nine hours, 39 minutes to 12 hours, 29 minutes. The Galaxy S5 LG G3, and Nexus 5 showed only minimal improvements. Nexus 5 shows a negligible one-minute increase in battery life while surfing the web.
